Antique Owl Shaped Milk Glass Mustard Jar

Item Details

A circa 1890s owl shaped milk glass mustard jar. The body of the jar is made of cast opaque white glass, in the shape of an owl. The jar comes with a metal screw cap that has a white milk glass center, which is also made of opaque white molded glass, depicting an eagle. The underside is marked with a number 2. These jars were originally used to hold Golden Eagle Mustard, distributed by the Central Supply Company of Wellsburg, WV in the 1890s.

Condition

- cap is rusty; has some areas of erosion to metal
- some discoloration to the glass
