A signed artist’s proof lithograph titled Squash Blossoms circa 1974 by American sculptor and painter, Alexander Calder (1898-1976). Calder is best known for being the originator of the suspended mobile sculptures, as well as creating colorful paintings with geometric inspired subject matter. This print is hand signed by the artist in pencil to the lower right margin and is marked ‘E.P.’ which is a French abbreviation meaning ’artist’s proof’. This piece is double matted in shades of silver and white, which is displayed behind glass in a hand carved wooden frame with a metallic silver finish. There is a wire for hanging to the verso.
Condition
Minor nicks and scratches to frame and glass.
