An oil painting on canvas by Alexander Kardin (Austrian,1917-1994) This Impressionistic work depicts two figures walking past an abundant flower stall in a European city square with the double domes of a cathedral rises in the distance. The work is signed in the bottom right corner and presented in a gold tone gesso and wood frame with a canvas lined fillet, wired for hanging. An artist biography is attached on verso.
Condition
- some minor surface wear to the frame; areas of crushed impasto to the painting surface.
