A L. Hitchcock dining chair. The Windsor style chair features a spindle back, black coloring with gold accents, grape and leaf motifs along the chair crests, natural wood seats, and turned legs with H stretchers. The chair is marked ‘L. Hitchcock*Hitchcocksville, Conn.*Warranted’. The original Hitchcock chair company was founded by Lambert Hitchcock in 1818 and ceased operation in 2006.
