Josef Reinhardt Vintage Lithographs of Swiss Canton Costumes
Item Details
A collection of nine framed vintage lithographs of Swiss canton costumes after listed painter Josef Reinhardt (1749-1824). These colored clothing studies depict men and women in various traditional outfits of the cantons of Switzerland: Berne, Geneva, Tessin (now Ticino), Unterwalden, Uri and Zug. A metal plate below the print gives the title and the painter’s last name ‘Reinhard’ (one of a few spelling variations). Each work is presented behind a brown mat with black line detail, behind glass, in a gold tone wood frame. They are wired ready to hang; some have number tags and framing store labels attached to the verso. They fit into lidded storage box.
