A 1939 Ideal King Little character doll. The 13.50’ doll features a composition head and clothing with jointed wooden lower body and arms. Doll is painted in red, yellow, brown, white and gray. Decal to chest reads, ‘’King-Little’, By Paramount Pictures, Inc. 1939, Made by Ideal Novelty & Toy Co., Inc.‘. Also marked to back, ’Ideal Doll, PPPI, Made in USA’. Train of cape is cloth. King Little is a character from Gulliver’s Travels and this doll was released along with movie.

Condition

Missing wooden crown. Wood body has been repaired at side seams. cracks in composition at nose, hair. Chip in hair. Wear to paint, consistent with age and use.
