Vintage Selden Bybee Vase

A vintage Selden Bybee #512 pottery vase in a Bybee seafoam green glaze. The Selden line was produced in Lexington, Kentucky, during the 1920s as a separate entity from the Bybee Pottery produced in Madison County, Kentucky. The flower vases were marketed to florists by Howard Selden in New York City. This vase has a circular base with molded Arts and Crafts design grass-shaped decorations. The body of the vase is slender and tapers to a narrow neck. It is marked “Selden Bybee,” ‘27,’ and “#512”.

- manufacturer defects to the rim and base, original to the piece.
