A large vintage hand knotted wool Persian style rug. The rug enjoys a background field in a rich shade of garnet red, with overall patterning composed of arabesques and stylized floral forms, in shades of cobalt blue, gold, yellow, salmon, carmine red, off white and teal green, with a major border in off white with an overall floral border, and guard stripes in garnet red with floral motifs. The rug has a cotton warp fringe to both ends. Unmarked.
