19/20th Century Russian Silver Yad with Scrolled Filigree Handle

A spectacular 19th/20th century Russian sterling silver Yad (Torah pointer) with intricate scrolled filigree panels at the handles, chased foliate scrolled orbs and a figural hand with pointed finger to aid in the reading of the Torah.
The yad (Hebrew hand) is the pointer that the reader of the Torah uses to help others follow the written words as he reads. Usually made of silver, the end of this rod is commonly shaped like a hand with its index finger extended. The chain attached to its other end can be used to drape it over the Sefer Torah when put away.

Condition
The Yad is dented along the side of the handle and the cuff at the tip is a bit wrinkled along the edge. All indicative of age and use.
