A group of three rare pottery pieces from the La Luz pottery. The pottery was founded by 1930 by Rowland Hazard III, a Rhode Island native in the town of La Luz, New Mexico. The pottery closed operations in the 1940’s. The collection consists of a pitcher, pot, and bell. The simple wheel thrown forms have a red cast to the clay, the pot covered only in a shiny clear glaze and the pitcher and bell with blue pigments added. There are impressed marks reading ‘La Luz Trademark’.
