Alabaster Sculpture

An alabaster sculpture. The object features a smooth oval hole through the piece. The sculpture, which has a slight angle to its presentation, has a smooth interior and a rough exterior with inclusions. The work is attached to a rectangular wood block base, which features a protective cork bottom. The item is marked to the lower side of the alabaster with an illegible signature that appears to read ‘Melito’.
