A Bud Light “Spuds MacKenzie” Lamp. This “Spuds MacKenzie” plastic blow mold lamp features the Bud Light brand on the front of his blue shirt. Anheuser-Busch, Inc. is labeled on the underside of the lamp along with a stamped “Dec 9 1987.” Spuds MacKenzie was the mascot for Bud Light, by Anheuser-Busch, in the 1980s. He first appeared in a commercial at Superbowl XXI in 1987 sporting a floral shirt and sunglasses. He soon became a pop culture sensation, even touring with an entourage of models and coming-up actresses dubbed the “Spudettes.”
