1934 "Good Housekeeping" Cartoon Featuring First Appearance of Donald Duck

A one-page cartoon from the June 1934 issue of Good Housekeeping. This page features a summary in color illustrations and verse of the Walt Disney Silly Symphony ‘The Wise Little Hen,’ notable as the film debut of Donald Duck (here called simply ‘the Duck’). ‘The Wise Little Hen’ premiered on June 9, 1934; since this preview was published in a June magazine issue, these illustrations mark Donald’s earliest public appearance.
