A signed original oil painting on canvas. The painting depicts two boats in the foreground with figures of a man and woman examining a crab by the seashore. There are small houses in the distance and other figures. The painting is signed on the lower right ‘HJL’ in a monogram. The canvas is stretched and the painting is presented is in a gessoed gilt frame with attached wire on the reverse.
Condition
- craquelure to entire surface, stretcher marks, heavy cracking to gesso on frame chip to top left corner, and wear to gilt finish.
