Frederick Pegram Etching on Paper "The Actress"

An etching on paper titled The Actress by listed artist Frederick Pegram (British; 1870 – 1937). This print depicts a woman on a stage, she holds a curtain in her left hand as her right extends upwards preparing to bow. A pair of flowers are present to the stage just below her feet. The piece is signed in graphite to the lower right within the margin.
Frederick Pegram was an English illustrator and cartoonist best known for his work in advertising and magazine illustrations at The Pall Mall Gazette, Punch Magazine, The Idler, Illustrated London News, The Tatler, and The Daily Chronicle. He acquired his formal training at the Westminster School of Art and studied under the likes of Henry Tonks, Aubrey Beardsley, and Maurice Greiffenhagen. Pegram practiced various artistic disciplines including drawing, oil painting, watercolor, and etchings. During his lifetime became a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours and exhibited his work at the British Royal Academy.
