An original, and fiercely spirited, watercolor on paper painting signed to the lower left hand corner with the named J.W. Goyyard. This painting is entitled ‘Coming Through The Royal Gorge, Colorado.’ The artist has painted an incredible image of a train chugging along ferociously in the bottom of a tremendous gorge. The rendering of light and water is absolutely superb. This painting, simultaneously, also has a surreal poetry about it, as if it could be a dream distilled, a perfectly cut slice from the pie of the subconscious. This incredible painting is presented in a plain wooden frame that suits it beautifully.
Condition
Framing is somewhat loose and the frame exhibits some minor wear, but for the most part is in great condition.
