Barclay Sheaks Triptych Acrylic Painting "North of Hatteras"
Item Details
An original triptych acrylic painting titled North of Hatteras by Indiana painter and founder of the art department of Virginia Wesleyan College Barclay Sheaks (1928-2010). This original acrylic piece was painted on masonite and depicts a rocky beach hill with a wooden picket fence featured at the top and marram grass visible through the sand in three rectangular panels. Each panel is encompassed by a white and brown wooden frame with hanging wire included on the verso. The verso’s of the pieces also include acrylic care instructions and information about the artist, Barclay Sheaks.
Condition
- minor scratches and abrasions to frame; minor residue on surface of polymer.
