A colorful Ion Chitoroaga landscape painting. The oil painting on linen canvas with heavy brush strokes depicts a landscape with trees and buildings in the background in a palette of blues, oranges, yellows, reds and black. It is signed to the lower left, ‘Ion Chitoroaga’. Listed artist Chitoroaga (Moldova, 1940-) has created this painting in a characteristic Fauvist style. It is presented in a metallic finished wood frame with a wire to the back for hanging.
