A hand-knotted, semi-antique Persian Nain Habibian room-sized rug, circa 1930s. This rug features a central medallion in a palette of green, red, and navy blue. The field has an arabesque pattern with palmette motifs in a palette of navy, sage green, and ochre on a crimson field. It has a compound border with a palmette design, and four navy and crimson spandrels to the corners. It has a natural warp fringe to either end. It is unmarked to the verso.
