A vintage Ironrite ‘Model 88’ ironing machine manufactured by Ironrite Inc. of Mt. Clemens, Michigan. This piece is housed in a large cherry cabinet with brass handles and is supported by four simple tapered legs with casters. The entire cabinet flips up to reveal a large ironing machine with a Westinghouse motor, a spacious fold out metal work surface, as well as various controls and accessories. The serial number is 1172724.
