Byron Birdsall Limited Edition Offset Lithograph "The Great Alaska Cache"

A limited edition 1994 offset lithograph after an original 1991 painting by listed Alaskan artist Byron Birdsall (1937). The piece, titled The Great Alaska Cache depicts a small cabin on stilts, set in the Alaskan wilderness. A midnight sun shines in a purple-hued sky over snow-capped mountains, while the foreground is stippled with lush evergreen vegetation and pink flowers. The image is signed and dated in plate to the lower right. It is additionally hand-signed in graphite to the lower left and numbered 478/950 to the lower right, with the title written to the center. The glass bears an inscription in gold tone ink to the lower right that reads ‘For Suzanne, with best wishes, Birdsall, 22 Oct ’94’. The print is matted in off-white and presented under glass in a wooden frame with wire to the back for hanging. The frame’s paper backing is marked ‘2688 10-13-94’ in pen to the top left.
