Crosley Field Seats
Item Details
A pair of Crosley Field stadium seats. The seats have been repainted red and the ‘C’ emblem that is affixed to one side of the seats has been painted white. The seats are attached to a piece of green field turf. The seats are made of wood with a metal frame. Crosley Field was the home field of the Cincinnati Reds (baseball and football teams), the Cincinnati Bengals (1937, 1941-1943), Cincinnati Tigers, Buckeyes and the Clowns (all three were Negro League Teams). Redland Field was renamed Crosley Field in 1934; Crosley was the last name of the Powel Crosely Jr., the owner of the Reds from 1934-1961.
Condition
- paint loss; left seat – upper wood plank has been cracked – two small nails were used on the back
