A Ganado Navajo rug woven by Virginia Begay. This finely woven wool rug features a geometric design that achieves an illusion of three dimensions in a palette of red, gray, black, and ivory. The rug has a red field with a pair of octagonal pendants at the center. These are bracketed by a series of folding-card like shapes, which are surrounded by stars. Bordered in black, the rug has a black tassel at each corner. It is marked on the reverse ‘Charles Eagle Plume’ and ‘Authentic Navajo Hand Woven Rug, Weaver: Virginia Begay’
