A posthumous woodblock print on rice paper titled The Great Wave Off Kanagawa (神奈川沖浪裏) after Katsushika Hokusai (葛飾 北斎, 1760 – 1849). This colorful woodblock print depicts the large and crashing waves about to descend on boats traveling the ocean. The print is signed in-block to the upper left corner alongside the print title within a cartouche and the name of the artist is present to the lower right in graphite. Mounted under a single layer of ivory matting, the print is presented under glass in a beige vinyl coated wood frame with sawtooth hardware present to verso.
