Vintage Art Deco Smoking Stand by The Howell Co.

Item Details

A vintage Art Deco smoking stand with a built-in ash receiver. The table is made of chromed steel, with a round top, column and base. The tabletop has a rolled edge, and to the center, a built-in ash receiver. The round ash receiver has pairs of chromed balls surrounding the center, to let smokers rest their cigarettes. An ornate brass tone metal push button opens the center of the ash receiver to allow ashes and cigarette butts to fall through to the canister below, which is built into the column of the table. An arched chrome handle allows the ash receiver to be lifted out so the receptacle can be emptied. A yellow label on the underside is marked ‘Manufactured By / The Howell Co. / Geneva, Illinois.’
