Thai Sword with Hand Carved Wood Sheath
Item Details
A Thai sword with hand carved wood sheath. This intricately carved sheath is richly decorated with forms from nature depicting curling leaves and vines along the length accompanied by strong graphic patterns formed by repetitive scale-like carvings and banding rings. Sword is steel with groups of carvings to the cheek and notches to the spine in two places, one group near the sword point, the other near the handle guard. The wood sword handle is richly carved in graphic patterns and has a brass collar where it meets the blade guard.
