Vintage Photographs by Ross Hall

A collection of three vintage, circa 1950s, black and white nature and landscape photographs by noted 20th-century photographer, Ross Hall (1905-1990). The group includes three vintage hand-signed and titled black and white photographs on matte printing out paper. Rhythm depicts a herd of elk navigating a snowfield, with shafts of sunlight breaking through dark clouds. The third photograph, titled The Cabinet Range over Lake Pend Oreille, depicts two skiers at the top of a mountain, overlooking a lake, with snow-capped peaks in the distance. The third is titled Hidden, depicting a lone deer, standing in tall grass. All are signed by the artist in pencil to the lower right corners, ‘Ross Hall – ’, and all are stamped to the versos with ’The Ross Hall Studio, Sandpoint, Idaho’.
Condition
- there are some slight creases on some ends of the matting due to storage
