French Victorian Amboyna Sewing Kit
Item Details
A French Victorian amboyna sewing kit. This box features a polished amboyna marquetry construction with an ornate inlaid brass plate monogrammed with the initials ‘AB’ to the center of the lid. The hinged lid opens to reveal a tufted red interior with an octagonal mirror and a removable top that houses various sewing tools comprised of bone. There is a brass fitting to the center that is engraved ‘Au Paradise des Enfants’.
Condition
Some wear, marks, scratches throughout; consistent with age and use. Does not come with a key.
