Item Details
A vintage steel Atwater Kent radio. This console radio, model 53, was made in 1929 by Atwater Kent Manufacturing Company of Philadelphia. It is comprised of black pressed steel and resembles a stove. It has three AM circuits and an Electro Magnetic Dynamic loudspeaker with field coil. The DC current passing through the field coil creates a strong magnetic field to operate the speaker.
