Within painterly brushstrokes, this piece depicts an exterior scene with a reflective body of water surrounded by snowy fields and sloped areas populated with multiple lush pine trees in the background. This work is signed by the artist to the lower right corner of the composition. Presented without glass, housed in a wood frame with carved embellishments in a golden tone finish.
Wallace Edgar Howard was born in Shawneetown, Missouri and moved during his adult life to Chicago, Illinois to pursue a wide scope of artistic interests. Known for his painterly landscapes oil paintings, Howard was a self-taught artist that also got immerse into musical and poetical creation.
