Pair of Leonetto Cappiello Original Vintage French Advertisements

Item Details

A pair of original vintage French advertisements designed by fame Italian-French designer Leonetto Cappiello (1875 – 1942). The first is a hand-pulled lithographic advertisement for ‘Citronnade à L’Ananas.’ It depicts a woman drinking a glass of the pineapple beverage and holding a bottle. The second is a hand-pulled lithograph and woodblock advertisement for Corset Le Furet, depicting a woman modeling the form-fitting garment. The pieces are both matted in white and presented behind glass in matching composite frames with cast olive surface embellishment, silver tone finish, and hanging wires.

Condition

- to fair. Both pieces have light yellowing and creasing. Corset advertisement has slipped within matting, leaving it very crooked.
