A limited edition hand inked and painted animation cel titled_Hollywood Hare_ by Robert McKimson Sr, with facsimile signature. It depicts Bugs wearing sunglasses and talking on the phone, while sunbathing in a padded lawnchair. The cel is set against a printed backyard background. A facsimile of McKimson’s signature, along with the edition number 6/500, appears on the bottom portion. Matted in white, the piece is set behind glass in a light wooden frame. Hangs from a wire on the reverse. The paper backing includes a McKimson Production Inc. certificate of authenticity. Robert McKimson Sr. (1910-1977) was a noted animator who worked on the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. He was instrumental in defining Bugs Bunny’s character design in 1943.
