Reproduction Painting of Diego Rivera's "The Flower Carrier"
Item Details
A reproduction painting on masonite after Diego Rivera’s Cargador de Flores_, or The Flower Carrier. Rivera (1886-1957) was a famous Mexican artist, known for his murals with political and social themes as a response to the Mexican Revolution. This piece depicts a man in a sombrero on his hands and knees, bearing the weight of the large basket of flowers tied to his back. The woman behind him attempts to help the man support the basket. This reproduction varies from the original by making the clothing brighter in color and the flowers into tulips. The painting is completed on masonite board and is unsigned.
