An antique color block relief and offset lithographic magazine cover for Le cri de paris, from the Sunday, January 12, 1902 issue. The image depicts an illustration designed by Sem, depicting a woman posing with a serpent behind her. Artist signature is printed in plate. This piece is mounted behind white mat, under acrylic glass in a fine wood frame with cast foliate molding and a silver leaf finish, hanging wire attached to the verso.This piece retailed at Garden City Galleries Ltd. of New York as indicated by a red and gold foil label to the verso. A paper sleeve to the verso contains the original magazine from which the framed presentation was taken.
