American Locomotive Company Builder's Plate

A builder’s plate from the American Locomotive Company (ALCO. Builders plates are cast or stamped metal plates that were affixed to locomotives and other railroad equipment. This plate reads, ‘American Locomotive Co. General Electric Co. Schenectady, N.Y. 80120 July 1952,’ and is bolted to a wood frame.
