A signed original oil on board landscape painting by listed American artist William Victor Higgins (1884-1949). This painting depicts a vibrant New Mexico landscape and is hand-signed ‘Victor Higgins’ to the lower center. The piece is presented in a two-tone brown wooden frame and includes a hanging wire to the verso. Born in Shelbyville, Indiana, Higgins studied art at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. Higgins later moved to Taos, New Mexico and became a part of the vibrant art scene there.
