WW II Brass Paratrooper Knife

A vintage WW II brass paratrooper knife with 4’ steel drop point blade and brass handle/sheath enclosure. Knife closes and opens through slide motion and locks with an attached saddle.
The purpose of this knife was to allow a solder to open it with one hand to deal with any situation after deploying from their airplane. When not in use, the blade is safely stored in the handle to prevent accidents with an exposed blade during a parachute drop.
Condition
Old. Used. Condition consistent with use and age. Blade shows wear from normal use and has surface tarnish. Brass has surface tarnish/patina. Knife moves easily from closed to open positions.
