An original oil on canvas student reproduction painting after Claude Monet’s The Basil at Argenteuil (1872). This riverside landscape scene includes distant figures of couples sitting on the grass and walking down an avenue of trees, as well as rowboats and sailboats on the water. The painting is signed ‘T. Caine’ at the lower right and is presented without glass in a gilded and gesso wood frame with a hanging wire.
