An original signed watercolor painting on heavyweight rag watercolor paper by well-listed artist Spencer Crooks (Ireland/Rhode Island, 1917 – 2004). The painting depicts a quaint rural landscape painting where a cottage sits across a picturesque stone bridge near a rippling stream. The drawing is signed in black to the lower left. It is presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation. Crooks is recognized for his Rhode Island landmarks subject matter, but also paints many water scenes. He is an award-winning painter and teacher and is a member of the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame.
