Charles Hubbell Original Charcoal Drawing and Calendar Print
Item Details
An original charcoal drawing on semi-translucent glassine by well-listed American aviation illustrator Charles Herman Hubbell (Ohio, 1899 – 1971), titled Stinson – Station Wagon. The drawing depicts one of the planes resting on a wooden dock as figures stand around it. The charcoal has been set on the paper so that it does not smear. The drawing is signed and titled in charcoal to the lower left and is numbered ‘4’ and dated 1949 to the lower right. The lot also includes an offset lithograph calendar print inspired from the imagery in this drawing; it is titled More Time for Fun. Both are presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation.
