A Civil War uniform button and other military collectibles. This is an assorted group of military memorabilia. In this lot is a brass eagle button which was on a standard issue uniform by the Federal Government during the Civil War. The regular enlistment’s man’s buttons had a plain shield. The officer’s buttons had the initial for the branch of service and usually had a gold wash. This one has the “I” denoting Infantry and has the “Scoville Mfg. Co. Waterbury” manufacturer’s back mark. Also included is a Civil War regulation enlisted artillery kepi ‘Crossed Cannons’ device and an infantry ‘Bugle Hat’ insignia and a vintage U.S. Army Medical Corps pin and a collection of four militia photographs that includes a cabinet card of a soldier from the 7th Massachusetts regiment.
