A vintage Japy Freres black slate clock. This heavy mantle clock features a black slate body with beveled top and bottom, curved side columns and incised art deco designs. It has a black metal clock face with gold tone numerals, brass case with glass front and clear brass and glass case at the back, revealing its movements, on which it is marked ‘Japy Freres and Co.’ along with ‘5139’. The back case is also marked with ‘5478 RR’.
