A silver plate sculpture by Sam Philipe ( Israeli, 20th century) titled Soldier at the Wall. This sculpture depicts a uniformed and armed Israeli soldier leaning against the Wailing Wall, his head resting on his raised arm, his helmet cast to the ground at his side. The soldier is crafted from formed electroplated silver and the wall is made of stone. The sculpture is signed by hand ‘Sam Philipe,’ along with the edition number ‘5/7.’
