Bott Swiss Wood Weight-Driven Wall Clock

Item Details

A Swiss weight-driven wall clock by Bott. This clock is entirely made of wood, save for the yellow rope holding two weights. The dial has a central cutout to expose a gear and features a single spade hand pointing to Roman numeral hour indicators. A wag arm with upturned ends appears above the dial where two bucket weights would rest to regulate the speed of the hand’s movement. The clock is stamped ‘Bott’ along the side and has a plaque at the lower back marked, ‘Made in Switzerland’. A small cutout at the top of the clock allows for wall mounting.

Condition

- some discoloration on weights; finish loss on gears; faint markings throughout; dusty and would benefit from cleaning; missing bucket weights.
