Item Details
An early oil painting on canvas of figures, in the style of the Renaissance school. Depicted is a figure wearing a red turban looking towards a nude body in the lower right of the composition. A man carrying a child on his back holds a dark fabric draped over himself. The background is rendered with tropical foliage and trees. This piece is unsigned and comes housed in a painted black and gold tone frame. Attached to the verso is a loan label from Fogg Museum.
Condition
canvas is not fit perfectly to frame; some craquelure and inpainting is present.
