Antique Hubley "Trick Dog" Mechanical Cast Iron Bank, Circa 1888

Item Details

An antique Hubley mechanical cast iron ‘Trick Dog’ bank, circa 1888. This bank features a clown and small dog, which launches into the air when a latch is pressed on the side, depositing money into the barrel at the other end. Block lettering to the front and the side spell out ‘Trick Dog’ and ‘Bank’, respectively. A patent date at the bottom reads, ‘July 31, 1888’.

Condition

- to fair. Paint loss. Mechanism tested and works. Missing the key for the cover on the bottom.
