A Pahlavi Collection machine-woven area rug by Burlington Industries Inc. This large room-size area rug features a central floral pendant medallion in indigo blue with a palette of peach, apricot, sage, scarlet and shades of blue and ecru, resting on a silver sage green field. he medallion s surrounded by arabesques of sweeping serrated lancet leaves and large palmettes in the medallion colors. The large corner spandrels echo the medallion pattern on a white field, and the rug is bound by a layered, ornate and complex floral border featuring a herati motif in the same colorway. It has overcast edges with an applied, hand-tied cotton fringe. Tagged to reverse; made in Belgium.
