An antique to vintage fertility statue from Ghana (West Africa). The wooden piece depicts a stylized humanoid figure sitting naked on a bench while smoking a pipe. His spoon-shaped head is covered with a metal sheet lined with inset cowry shell trim. An M-shaped brow ridge surmounts squinting red eyes. The piece has a brown finish. Unsigned.
