A large hand knotted floral Persian herati wool area rug. This wool area rug features an all-over floral and foliate herati motif in pale blue, indigo, ivory, neutrals and shades of green on a red field. It has a compound floral border in the field colors, with a primary herati border on an indigo field. It has overcast edges and a small, tightly woven kilim skirt with cotton fringe to each end. Unmarked.
