Item Details
A circa 1897 Thomas Hayes sterling silver trinket box. This rounded rectangular box features relief images of animals, foliage, trees, scroll marks, flowers, and a house etching to the lid with similar patterns to the rim of the base. The side is stamped ‘T.H’ with an anchor, an X, and a lion, which signifies that is was produced in the late nineteenth century (1897-98) by Thomas Hayes in Birmingham, England. The total approximate weight is 5.26 ozt.
